MOLENA, Ga. (AP) Authorities have arrested the police chief of a small west Georgia city who is accused of soliciting young men for sex.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation says agents on Wednesday arrested Chief James Roberts, who's also the mayor of Concord, after investigating him for a month and a half. It was not immediately clear whether he had a lawyer.

The GBI says Roberts used his position as chief to gain the trust of the young men.

The GBI began investigating after a relative of an alleged victim contacted the Pike County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities say Roberts also gave a code to one of them so the young man could get county gas for his personal vehicle.

Roberts faces two counts of solicitation of sodomy and one count of theft by conversion.
