Investigators to search Monday for source of pallet company fire

GILLSVILLE - Hall County Fire Department investigators are expected to return Monday to the scene of a fire that heavily damaged an Athens Highway business on Saturday afternoon.<br /> <br /> Hall County Battalion Chief Scott Cagle said Sunday the fire does not appear to be suspicious, but officials have yet to confirm a cause for the blaze, which affected three buildings at Dixieland Pallet Company, located at the Hall-Jackson County line. At this point, there is no damage estimate.<br /> <br /> Cagle said the fire, reported at 4:45 p.m. Saturday, was difficult to extinguish due to a heavy fire load and windy conditions.<br /> <br /> No one was injured in the incident.<br />
