Ga. voter turnout increases more than 20% over 2010 election

ATLANTA - With nearly one million early votes cast, Georgia's voter turnout is up almost 21-percent over the 2010 mid-term election, according to the Secretary of State's office.<br /> <br /> Brian Kemp release the data from the final advance-voting tally on Monday afternoon:<br /> <br /> <b>General Statewide Turnout</i><br /> <br /> Number of ballots cast: 939,136<br /> Number of ballots voted in person: 846,118<br /> Number of mail-in ballots returned: 93,018<br /> Number of mail-in ballots outstanding: 32,223<br /> <br /> <b>Top 5 Counties With Highest Turnout</i><br /> <br /> Fulton: 94,944<br /> DeKalb: 80,502<br /> Cobb: 68,966<br /> Gwinnett: 55,090<br /> Henry: 31,509<br />
