ATLANTA (AP) A children's hospital in Atlanta is building a special isolation unit to treat children who might be infected by Ebola.

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta spokeswoman Patty Gregory stressed that the health system does not have any patient with the Ebola virus.

Gregory on Wednesday confirmed to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the unit was being constructed.

The Children's Healthcare website states that it is creating the unit to provide care to children with possible or confirmed Ebola virus infections.

The system hasn't said which of its three hospitals will have the unit or how soon it would be operational.

The Atlanta newspaper said it asked several questions about the unit, and that Children's Healthcare of Atlanta responded with a written statement that answered virtually none of them.
