Hall Co. SPLOST input meeting, reception for Lutz planned Thursday

GAINESVILLE - Hall County officials will host a public input meeting Thursday on the project list for the Special Purpose Location Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) to be voted on in a referendum next spring.<br /> <br /> The meeting will be held at 5:00 at the Hall County Government Center. A similar meeting was held Nov. 13. <br /> <br /> Also on Thursday, there will be a called county commission meeting at 2:30, replacing that day's 6:00 regularly scheduled meeting.<br /> <br /> In between the called meeting and the SPLOST session, there will be a reception at 4:00 for outgoing commission Craig Lutz. Lutz, who is completing his fourth year on the board, decided to give up his seat this year for a run for state Public Service Commission. He lost to the incumbent in the Republican Primary.
