Missing Gainesville man found safe

GAINESVILLE - A missing Gainesville man has been found safe in the metro Atlanta area, according to Hall County authorities.<br /> <br /> Sheriff's Deputy Nicole Bailes said Friday morning that 77-year-old Alva Daniel Hand turned up around 7 Thursday night. He had disappeared from his residence on Deer Path Lane Wednesday morning. His family had been worried because Hand needed daily medication; they also said he suffered from the early stages of dementia.<br /> <br /> Bailes said Hand's onset-dementia caused him to become confused and get lost. <br />
