SC company looks to buy Underground Atlanta

ATLANTA (AP) The president of a South Carolina-based real estate company says he expects to close a deal soon on a downtown Atlanta shopping and entertainment complex. <br /> <br /> President and CEO of WRS Inc. Real Estate, Scott Smith, tells the Atlanta Journal-Constitution his company is expecting to buy Underground Atlanta and he hopes to begin construction on a redevelopment project by 2016. The company is based in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. <br /> <br /> Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed said in a statement that he's planning on making an economic development announcement at City Hall on Wednesday morning. <br />
