BUFORD - Gwinnett County fire investigators are still looking for the cause of a fire that destroyed a home in Buford the night of Christmas Eve.
Fire Capt. Tommy Rutledge says the house on Kilgore Road was heated by a wood burning stove and the family had turned on Christmas lights just before the fire broke out, but he's unsure if either played a part in the fire.

The four people at the house at the time did escape unharmed, although the husband who lived at the home suffered a minor burn on his hand when he tried to douse the fire with water from the kitchen sink.
The house and all of its contents were destroyed, according to Rutledge.
