LILBURN, Ga. (AP) - Fire officials say three adults and three children have been displaced by a fire at a Gwinnett County duplex.

Gwinnett fire spokesman Colin Rhoden says a fire was reported early Sunday morning at a duplex in Lilburn and a baby sitter and several children escaped the blaze without injuries.

Rhoden says the fire appears to have originated on the deck and caused heavy damage to the deck, parts of the attic and other areas. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Rhoden says the American Red Cross is providing assistance to the six people who were displaced by the fire.
