ATLANTA (AP) Forecasters are warning of isolated and scattered thunderstorms throughout most of Georgia.
The National Weather Service says storms on Wednesday could produce frequent lightning, strong wind and heavy rain. Forecasters say the storms are most likely to happen between 2 and 10 p.m.

The Georgia Environmental Protection Division has also issued an air quality alert spanning the metro Atlanta area for Thursday.

Officials say the code orange alert means outdoor air quality could be unhealthy for children and people who have difficulty breathing. Officials say ozone concentrations will be highest in the late afternoon and early evening, and people with heart or lung impairments should limit outdoor activity.
The agency issued a similar warning for the metro Atlanta on Wednesday.
