MANS: Two arrested in Gainesville on several drug charges

GAINESVILLE - Two Gainesville residents face numerous drug-related charges after being arrested in Hall County on Friday.<br /> <br /> According to Lt. Scott Ware with the Hall County Sheriff's Office, members of the Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad (MANS) had been conducting an investigation involving a residence on Ledan Extension near Green Hill Road when the arrests were made.<br /> <br /> Ware said MANS agents discovered both suspects at the home were in possession of marijuana, methamphetamine and numerous prescription drugs, with the drugs having a total street value of $300. Scales and packaging materials were also found at the residence.<br /> <br /> Both suspects, 37-year-old Kristie Lee Whitfield and 28-year-old Kerry Tracy Wheeler, Jr., were arrested incident, according to Ware.<br /> <br /> The pair were booked into the Hall County Jail on charges of possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute, possession of Hydrocodone, possession of Diazepam, possession of Alprazolam and possession of marijuana, the latter being a misdemeanor.<br /> <br /> Ware said that Whitfield also faces charges of possession of Carisporodol and possession of Tramadol in the case.
