ATLANTA - A Duluth man will spend the next 29 years in federal prison for producing pornographic images of young boys, according to the United States Attorney's Office in Atlanta.
Under a plea agreement, Todd Alexander Pell, 44, will also enter a guilty plea to six counts of aggravated sodomy in Gwinnett County Superior Court.

The US Attorney's Office said Pell initially paid a victim to do yard work and eventually enticed the 14-year-old for sexual acts and then took photos of the victim.

"The repeated acts of sexual abuse committed by Pell are appalling." said United States Attorney Yates. "We applaud the victim who had the courage to come forward and expose this abuse; he likely saved other young boys from the same fate."

The victim reported the abuse in June 2013, telling Duluth police investigators that he had been sexually assaulted by Pell from December 2012 through February 2013 at Pell's residence on Bromley Rowe in Duluth.
During the course of the investigation, law enforcement said officers also discovered two additional minor victims who were sexually abused by Pell. Investigators said they recovered the camera Pell used to capture the sexual assaults and computers on which child pornography was found.
United States District Judge Steve C. Jones sentenced Pell monday to 29 years in prison to be followed by lifetime supervised release. He was also ordered to pay a $100 special assessment. The defendant will be required to register as a sex offender when he is released from prison.
