Atlanta woman shot on New Year's Day by stray bullet

ATLANTA (AP) A 58-year-old woman was wounded early New Year's Day by a bullet that appears that have come through her ceiling. <br />

Police said the shooting happened just before 1 a.m. Thursday in southwest Atlanta. <br />
<br />
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports the victim was wounded in the leg and taken to Grady Memorial Hospital. Her name was not immediately released. <br />
