Skinner named Barrow EMS Chief

WINDER - Barrow County has a new Chief of Emergency Services. Commissioners on Tuesday, January 13 appointed John Skinner to the post.<br /> <br /> Skinner has been in the emergency services profession for 19 years, first working as a volunteer fireman for Barrow County in 1996. Skinner had served as interim chief for the last 36 months, according to the county web site.<br /> <br /> "I appreciate the vote of confidence from the Board of Commissioners and the recommendation from the County Manager on my appointment as Chief of Emergency Services," said Skinner in a press statement.<br /> <br />
