OAKWOOD - A bicyclist who was hit by a car Tuesday morning on Mundy Mill Road in Oakwood is part of the homeless community in Hall County, according to investigators working on the case.

Oakwood Police Detective Danny Sridej said investigators used fingerprints, hoping to identify the man, since they couldn't communicate with him. Sridej said in an email the man has three aliases, so they still are unsure of a positive ID.

Sridej said Hall County Sheriff's Office booking records listed the bicyclist as Gonzalez Garcia, born in April 1989, with an alias of Solovino Morales. Officers also obtained a third name from evidence at the scene of the crash - Marcelo Morales.

Sridej said Friday morning the victim remains in critical condition at Northeast Georgia Medical Center; he was expected to undergo surgery at some point Friday.

The vehicle that struck the man still has not been located, according to Sridej.

Friday afternoon, Sridej said the vehicle is missing its right side mirror. The right side of the front bumper is missing along with a right side fog light cover.

Sridej said Crime Stoppers Greater Atlanta is offering a reward of up to $2000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment in the case. Call: 404-577-TIPS (8477) or Text: CSA Tip to CRIMES (274637).
