Fire means move to high school for Dekalb students

LITHONIA, Ga. (AP) Students at a DeKalb County elementary school will have classes at a nearby high school after their school suffered extensive damage in a weekend fire. <br /> <br /> The DeKalb County School District has said that Fairington Elementary School students are to report to Miller Grove High School Tuesday. <br /> <br /> Local news reports say DeKalb Fire and Rescue crews found smoke and flames coming from a Fairington classroom around 5 p.m. Saturday. Fire officials said that they are investigating the blaze as arson, given that it happened on a weekend when the school was empty. <br /> <br /> District spokesman Quinn Hudson says a team of nearly 150 workers has worked since the fire to repair damage, but the school won't be ready by Tuesday. He didn't say when classes would resume at Fairington.
