TIGER — Bailey Fisher threw for two touchdowns and Cal Drummond ran for two scores to lead Rabun County to a 44-0 demolition of Social Circle Friday night in Region 8-AA action.
It was also the third straight shutout for the Wildcats (5-1, 2-0 Region 8-AA) who will travel to Oglethorpe County next week.
Rabun County needed just one play to get things going. Eli Gipson raced 66 yards on the first play from scrimmage for a quick 7-0 lead just 24 seconds into the game.
After a punt on their next possession, the Wildcats again needed just one play with Charlie Woerner adding a 32-yard scoring run for a 14-0 lead. Drummond capped their fourth drive of the quarter with a 27-yard touchdown run for a 21-0 lead heading into the second quarter.
Drummond added his second touchdown of the game four minutes later on a 5-yard run to make it 28-0. Fisher connected with Jack Johnson with 3:44 left in the half on a 60-yard touchdown pass for a 34-0 halftime lead.
Fisher opened the third quarter with a 42-yard touchdown pass to Alden Wright to push the lead to 41-0 and Kodie Phillips drilled a 25-yard field goal midway through the fourth quarter to cap the scoring.
Rabun County piled up 503 yards of total offense, including 312 on the ground.
