If there's one thing the NASCAR world should know by now, it's that Kevin Harvick is hard to beat when he's in a must win situation.
Having to do no less than win to stay alive in the Chase for the Sprint Cup, Harvick dominated Sunday's Sprint Cup Series race at Dover International Speedway, leading 355 of the 400 laps en route to the win in the cutoff race to move to the Contender round of the Chase.
Harvick started 15th, but was in the lead by lap 24, and went unchallenged the rest of the way for the win. Speaking to the media afterwards, Harvick said he really didn't feel there was any pressure going into the race weekend.
We also heard from his crew chief, Rodney Childers, second place finisher Kyle Busch and Dale Earnhardt, Jr., who finished in third.
After a short rain delay in Saturday's NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Dover International Speedway, Regan Smith powered from fourth to first place on the lap 121 restart, and led the rest of the way to score his second series victory of the season.
It is the sixth career victory for Smith, with all of those wins coming with JR Motorsports.
Smith talked about the key moment in the race afterwards to the media. We also heard from second place finisher Denny Hamlin and third place Kyle Busch.
The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and Xfinity Series both travel to the Queen City this weekend, as Charlotte Motor Speedway hosts both tours. WDUN will have live PRN Radio coverage of Saturday night's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Bank of America 500 from Charlotte Motor Speedway beginning at 6 pm on 102.9 FM and 550 AM.
