GAINESVILLE — The Christmas season has arrived in downtown Gainesville, complete with Santa, carriage rides and the lighting of the chicken atop Main Street Market. The Annual Jingle Mingle, sponsored by Main Street Gainesville, was held Thursday night from 5 to 8 p.m.

The Enota Show Choir sang carols to the crowd gathered in downtown Gainesville Thursday evening for the annual Jingle Mingle.

Attendees had the opportunity to take horse drawn carriage rides around the downtown Gainesville square.
Of course, the evening would not be complete without the lighting of the chicken atop Main Street Market. Gainesville has long been known as the Poultry Capitol of the World.
