Gwinnett County police have released surveillance footage of a man they say robbed a Buford Subway restaurant earlier this month.

Cpl. Michele Pihera said the suspect entered the restaurant at 5965 Cumming Highway just as it opened on December 20. He told the employee he wasn't ready to order and the employee left the suspect alone while he went to the staff area of the store. Pihera said the suspect pulled a gun when the employee returned to the counter.

Pihera said the suspect was white, about 5'9", weighing between 180-190 lbs.

"He was wearing a blue Under Armour sweatshirt hoodie with loose fitting jeans and he had a hat on," said Pihera. "We thinks it's a blue hat with some sort of logo on the front."

Pihera said the suspect tapped the handgun on the counter while demanding money. She said the store employee turned over all the cash in the register; she said it was several hundred dollars.

If anyone has information on the suspect, they're asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS (8477).
