Pickens Co. woman killed in wrong-way interstate wreck

CANTON - Authorities have identified a woman killed in a head-on collision on a metro Atlanta interstate as Kristen Adams of Jasper.

The Georgia State Patrol said Adams died in the wreck involving two vehicles Saturday morning on Interstate 575 between Canton and Ball Ground.

State troopers said Adams was in a silver Toyota Corolla and heading south in the northbound lanes of I-575 when she struck a semitrailer head-on.

WSB-TV reports that the crash delayed traffic for hours.
