GAINESVILLE - Once again, the developer who wants to build a restaurant and a retail building on Thompson Bridge Road near the new Walmart Marketplace in Gainesville will take his proposal before the city council.

The plan, which was tabled by council in February, requires rezoning for the property at Virginia Circle, something the City Planning and Appeals Board has denied.

The biggest concern about the proposal appears to be a drive-thru for the restaurant. (See previous Gainesville City Council story linked below.)

City Council will review the proposal at a meeting Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at the Public Safety Building on Queen City Parkway.
