GAINESVILLE - The Northeast Georgia Council, Boy Scouts of America have honored a hospital administrator, a former political leader and an educator as part of an annual Gainesville event.

The 2015 Gainesville American Values Dinner not only served as a fundraiser for the Scouts, but also gave the local Council the opportunity to recognize three community leaders in Hall County.

Honorees at the Tuesday night event at the Chattahoochee Country Club were Carol Burrell, President and CEO of Northeast Georgia Health System; Tom Oliver, a poultry and cattle farmer who served as the Chairman of the Hall County Commission for two terms; and Will Schofield, Superintendent of the Hall County School District.

Jim Butterworth, the Director of the Georgia Emergency Management Agency, was the keynote speaker for the 2015 event.
