FORSYTH, Ga. (AP) - Sheriff's officials say a couple wanted in the death of a man who was beaten and strangled in Kansas have been arrested in central Georgia.

Monroe County sheriff's officials said in a statement that Kansas authorities got a tip that Kelly J. Jones and Roger Jones Sr. had been working and living at a local campground. The two were wanted in the death of 25-year-old Patrick Howe, whose body was found near Dodge City, Kansas in 1992.

Investigators have said Howe ran a motel that the couple helped manage. Howe is suspected of being attacked after telling the couple that he wanted to move in with family in Oklahoma.

Authorities say the couple had been at the campground since 2014. It's unclear if they have attorneys.
