Cleveland Public Works Water Distribution Operator Tom Guy said Tuesday afternoon that the EPD has confirmed with the city that all tests are clear and the Boil Water Notice has been lifted.
The notice was prompted by a water main break at the Woodland Forest Subdivision and affected residents from Woodland Forest Subdivision (off of Old Clarkesville Rd.), Whitehall Manor Apartments, Whitehall Common Apartments (Bryant Street), and The Woods Subdivision (off of Old 75 South) in Cleveland.
The notice is required by the EPD to be made to local media, so customers can be informed.
The notice is to insure the safety of the drinking water to the city's customers in the event of the possibility of a contaminant entering the system.
