TOCCOA - The Georgia State Patrol has released details of a two-vehicle wreck that claimed the life of a Cleveland man Sunday afternoon.

Sgt. David Lunsford of Georgia State Patrol Post 7 in Toccoa said the wreck happened at 1:21 p.m. on Georgia 15 (U.S. 441) at Antioch Church Road.

Lunsford said a grey Chevrolet Malibu, driven by 70-year-old John Arthur Woods of Cleveand, was traveling east on Antioch Church Road.

The second vehicle was a silver Chrysler Town & Country, driven by 46-year-old Paul Christian Ditomaso of Smyrna, was traveling south on Georgia 15 in the righthand lane.

"The Chevrolet Malibu traveled through the stop sign in front of the Chrysler and was struck in the driver's side," Lunsford said.

The impact killed Woods and injured Ditomaso and his five passengers, who all were taken to Habersham Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
