SUWANEE - A Suwanee man was killed in a traffic accident on McGinnis Ferry Road Monday afternoon, according to Gwinnett County police.
The police report said 25-year-old Patrick Wood was traveling north on the roadway just after 12 p.m. when a pick-up truck tried to make a u-turn at the traffic light at Old Peachtree Road and hit Wood's motorcycle. Wood was ejected from the bike and died on his way to the hospital.
The truck driver has been identified as John Hartley, 47, of Duluth.
Investigating officers said neither speed nor alcohol are considered factors in the fatal wreck.
There is no word yet on charges in the crash.
