GAINESVILLE - A new Natural Resources Manager is on the job at the Elachee Nature Science Center in Hall County.
Lee Irminger took over about three weeks ago for fprmer manager Rob Stuart according to a news release from Sybil Hall-Beheler, Communications & Marketing Coordinator for Elachee.
Irminger will be charged with developing and coordinating conservation and natural resource management activities within the 1,400-acre Chicopee Woods Nature Preserve which is managed by Elachee.
Hall-Beheler said, "Lee brings a solid background in environmental science with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Environmental Spatial Analysis degree from the University of North Georgia, Gainesville Campus. Prior to joining Elachee, Lee previously worked in the environmental consulting industry as an environmental scientist, assessing numerous properties throughout the southeast for environmental issues."

Irminger is originally from the Augusta area and relocated to Gainesville for his undergraduate education and to be closer to the Appalachain Mountains.
