SUWANEE — Low price grocer ALDI has planned a grand opening of its newest Georgia store in Gwinnett County.
Company officials said the Suwanee store, located at 1165 Peachtree Industrial Blvd., will be the 49th ALDI store for Georgia. ALDI has nearly 1,400 stores in 32 states with plans to open an additional 130 stores annually over the next several years.
To celebrate the opening of the new Suwanee store, ALDI will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8:45 a.m. on Thursday, June 4. The public is invited to attend. Following the ceremony, the first 100 shoppers will receive a golden ticket, each containing ALDI gift certificates of various amounts. Customers can also tour the store, sample ALDI exclusive brand products and enter an on-site sweepstakes for a chance to win a year’s supply of ALDI produce. ALDI currently carries nearly 70 varieties of fruits and vegetables, including several organic produce items
“We are pleased to bring our store to Suwanee to help customers get high-quality products at everyday low prices,” said Thom Behtz, Jefferson division vice president for ALDI, in a press statement.
“We challenge shoppers to switch from national brands to our high-quality exclusive brands and save up to 50 percent** without compromising. As important as price is, the only way to attract and keep shoppers is to have quality products.”
Behtz said the Suwanee store features high ceilings, natural lighting and environmentally-friendly building materials – such as recycled materials and energy-saving refrigeration and light bulbs – to ensure that customers enjoy a shopping experience that is simple and easy to navigate.
