LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. (AP) Police say Gwinnett County officers shot a man multiple times after he made threats at his ex-wife's home.
Sgt. Brian Doan says in a news release that the Georgia Bureau of Investigation will handle the investigation of Sunday's shooting. The man was taken to Eastside Medical Center but his condition has not been released.
Doan says the man came to the home uninvited and threatened to kill everyone. He says two teenagers ran from the house and called 911, and officers arrived to the home in Grayson on Sunday at 8:30 p.m.
He says the man was still outside the house with a handgun when police arrived and was shot multiple times after refusing to drop his weapon. It is unclear how many officers were involved.
