FLOWERY BRANCH — A woman died and a man was seriously burned when a mobile home caught fire in Flowery Branch overnight.

Fire crews were called to the scene in the 6200 block of Malibu Ridge at 12:36 a.m., according to Hall County Fire Marshal Scott Cagle. He said the single-wide mobile home was about 70-percent involved in flames when firefighters arrived.

Cagle said three adults made it out of the mobile home, but they told firefighters a woman was trapped inside.

"During their search, knocking down the fire, they did find the deceased female in one of the bedrooms of this mobile home," said Cagle.

He said one of the occupants - a man - sustained serious burns and lacerations as he escaped the burning home. That man was taken by air ambulance to the Grady Hospital Burn Center in Atlanta.

Cagle said investigators do not know yet how the fire started, although they don't believe the fire is suspicious in nature.

The names of those involved have not yet been released.
