GAINESVILLE — After a 23-year career with Hall County Fire Services, Fire Marshal Scott Cagle will be leaving the department for a job at the state level.
Cagle, who is the Battalion Chief for Planning & Preparedness and the Public Information Officer for HCFS, confirmed in a Tuesday night e-mail that his last day with Hall County will be August 21.
Cagle did not offer specifics on his new job, saying that information would be forthcoming from his future employer.
"This decision has not been an easy one to make," wrote Cagle. "My wife and I have prayed over this for some time. I have enjoyed working for Hall County Fire Services and Hall County Government for 23 years. The brotherhood and friendships I have made while here will go with me throughout my career and life."
