OAKWOOD - Oakwood Police have charged a man with third degree arson and disorderly conduct stemming from a Tuesday incident involving the man's significant other.

According to Investigator Danny Sridej, Anson Anatole Horne allegedly made the woman who lived with him leave their apartment at Oakwood Village.

Sridej said she walked to the police station to report a dispute between the two.  An officer then responded to the apartments between 11:30 a.m. and noon.

"They discovered that he threw her belongings, all of her clothing, everything in the trash and proceeded to burn her believed to be personal effects and the victim's purse in the back yard."

The disorderly conduct charge stems from Horne's alleged actions toward the officer.

"He was not obeying the officer's order and lunged at the officer," Sridej said.

"Unfortunately it happened, but we were able to separate and get the victim some of her belongings, but most of the belongings were already in the trash, in the dumpster."

Sridej said no one was injured during the incident.
