CLEVELAND — White County officials report the county government phone system which was down for a few hours Tuesday morning is back up and operating.
County Manager Mike Melton said Windstream advised there was a bad cable that caused the outage.
The phone system had been down since 11 p.m. Monday.
The county's 9-1-1 system was never affected by the outage.
