GAINESVILLE - A new leadership team has been installed at the Children's Center for Hope and Healing (CCHH) following the departure of the former executive director, who moved out of state.
Sam Shoemaker is the new Executive Director, replacing Betty Guilfoile, who moved to Chicago because her husband's job transfer. Prior to being named Executive Director, Shoemaker was the Clinical Director at CCHH. Dr. Susan Collins was promoted to Clinical Director to replace him in that capacity. Collins was hired in 2009 to reorganize and restart CCHH's women’s services program.
Cindy Wilson is the new Director of Development, joining the team last month. Wilson was a career banker in Gainesville for 30 years but in 2010 she decided it was time for a change and embarked on a new career in the Non-Profit world.
The Children’s Center for Hope and Healing http://www.hopeandhealingga.org/ is a non-profit organization dedicated to breaking the cycle of child sexual abuse and exploitation. Established in 1984, the agency offers no-cost therapeutic services to children ages 3 to 17 who are the victims of sexual abuse, as well as adult women and men who are the survivors of child sexual abuse.
