WINDER — Winder Police Department investigators are on the lookout for a man who robbed a bank at Holly Hill Mall on West Athens Street Monday morning.

Lt. Chris Cooper said the man walked into Community & Southern Bank around 10:45 a.m. Cooper said the suspect never displayed a weapon.

"He slid a note across [the counter] to the teller," said Cooper. "The note said 'I just need your cooperation, I don't want to hurt anyone.' [At that] point he asked for money and the teller complied with that request."

Cooper said the suspect left the bank with an undetermined amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a white or light-skinned Hispanic male, about 5'8" and 190 lbs. Cooper said the teller told officers the suspect had a thin, grey goatee. The suspect was wearing a white t-shirt, baggy white cargo-style shorts, a dark colored stocking cap and dark goggle-type sunglasses.

Anyone with information about this incident or who knows the identity of the man in the photos is asked to contact Investigator Wayne Manthe at the Winder Police Department at 678-425-6849 or at [email protected].
