Interest in Monday night's college football championship game is gaining momentum in Gainesville, hometown of the Clemson quarterback who led the Tigers to the season finale.

Wild Wing Cafe in downtown Gainesville will host a special event Monday night and is encouraging support for Clemson and Deshaun Watson, a former football standout at Gainesville High School.

A percentage of the proceeds will be donated to the Gainesville City School System, according to a statement from city school officials, which also requests that you mention to the hostess that you are part of the city school system game night celebration.

Meanwhile, on Facebook, a lot of people are incorporating the Clemson logo into their profile pictures as a show of support for Watson and the Tigers.

Kickoff is 8:30 but before that, AccessWDUN's Katie B. Davis will host a pre-game tailgate at Wild Wing from 6:00-8:00.
