Oakwood City Council did what a number of other municipalities across the region have been doing since the first of the year - holding inaugural meetings for 2016 and swearing in new and returning council members.
Sheri Millwood and Dwight Wood took their oaths of office as new members of the council, while Todd Wilson took his oath as a returning member of the board.
Millwood was elected to serve as Mayor Pro-tem for the city of Oakwood for the year.
