two heavily-traveled roadways in Habersham County have been at least partially shut down following separate accidents Thursday evening.

Ga. 365 currently had one northbound lane closed due to an accident involving an 18-wheeler and a passenger car.

Elsewhere in the county, Historic U.S. 441 is completely shut down in both direction near Kandy Kane Learning Center in Clarkesville following a crash that resulted in a downed power pole and power lines falling across the roadway. That location is near Church Sawmill Road.

Authorities say area should be avoided for the next several hours as crews work to clear the area of debris and utility crews restore damaged utilities.
