Hall County Juvenile Court is collecting children's books for their clients to read while waiting for their trials.
"Our book drive started in September, we were looking for books for our children to use in juvenile court," said Candace Turner, Citizen Review Panel Coordinator for the office. "We have a lot of people sometimes that come for an 8:30 hearing, but sometimes it's not actually heard at 8:30."
Turner said they're looking for a variety of books. "To keep the children entertained, to give them some reading material, we are looking for all ages, up through teenage years, as well as anything that would be appropriate for a parent."
Anyone interested in donating gently used books or even bookcases should contact Turner at 770-538-5346 to arrange a donation.
Turner said they're collecting books for their office indefinitely.
