MILLEDGEVILLE — Riverside Military snapped a five-game losing streak with a 14-6 victory over long-time rival Georgia Military Friday night in a non-region battle on the road.
The Eagles (2-6) never trailed after Vic Pittman scored on a 27-yard run with just 6 seconds left in the first quarter.
GMC (4-5) cut the lead to 7-6 after a second quarter touchdown but the extra point was missed.
Riverside extended the lead to 14-6 in the second quarter on a 1-yard run by Alvary Wilson.
GMC later missed a field goal with 2 seconds left in the first half and the Bulldogs next best drive ended with three consecutive sacks by the Eagles defense in the third quarter.
