Authorities with the Barrow County Sheriff's Office believe a pair of thieves who broke into Target on Loganville Highway in Bethlehem may have committed similar crimes in other states.
Sheriff's Capt. Ryan Sears said in an email that two suspects entered the store around 1:50 a.m. Tuesday by cutting through the roof and dropping down into the bathroom area of the store.
After entering the store, the thieves broke into an ATM, stealing an unknown amount of money. Sears said they also stole 4 Galaxy Tablets valued at about $600 and a Drone Backpack valued at about $150.
"Investigators have determined there is a yellow crowbar and sledgehammer that were used to gain access to the ATM, and that is consistent with the Target burglaries in middle Georgia, West Virginia and Tennessee," Sears wrote.
The manager of the store discovered the break-in just after 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to Sears.
