Step back into time Saturday at Gainesville's historic Piedmont Hotel where the Longstreet Society's annual bivouac will be held.
The hotel was once owned by Confederate General James Longstreet and is the society's headquarters.
The bivouac is free and open to the public, will be held rain or shine, and will include lunch, music, a civil war encampment and a tour of the hotel. It will begin at 10:00 and end at 4:00.
