Winder City Police have arrested a man, who was already being detained in another jail, in connection with a pair of burglaries in the city earlier this week.
According to a release from the police department, 26-year-old Toumua Lor of Auburn was being held in the Barrow County Jail on unrelated charges when Winder authorities requested arrest warrants Thursday.
The investigation began with a burglary at Amedisys home health care on Sunday afternoon in which several food items were stolen and the objects had been scattered around the building. The next morning another burglary was reported at the Department of Juvenile Justice building in Winder with a set of keys being reported stolen.
Police could not identify a suspect at the time, but continued to do finger print analysis and evenutally returned a match with Lor. Winder officials questioned Lor in the Barrow County Jail and determined there was a strong enough connection to request the arrest warrants.
Lor is now being held in the Barrow County Detention Center and is awaiting bond.
