Gainesville workshop to focus on starting a business

The SCORE office in Gainesville is offering a free workshop for people interested in starting a business. 

It will be held Tuesday, June 14t 11:00-1:30 at the Jackson EMC office on Dawsonville Highway in Gainesville and lunch will be provided.   However, registration is required and space is limited, according to a news release from the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce..

The 5 modules in this series will help you understand the basics of:

·he concepts involved with assessing a business idea,

·marketing your product or service,

·understanding business financials and how they work,

·how to fund and finance your business.

This introductory workshop, "Start-up Basics," focuses on the concept of testing your business idea and identifying the key factors that influence start-up success. Start-up Basics provides you with an overview of the skills and tools you need when deciding to start a business.

In this module, you will be introduced to:

·advantages and disadvantages of owning a business,

·most profitable legal form for your business,

·the fundamentals of formation,

.organization,

·marketing,

·cash flow,

·funding sources
