Forsyth County Commissioner Mills named woman of achievement

The Georgia Federation of Business and Professional Women’s Clubs recently named Forsyth County Commissioner Cindy Jones Mills as the recipient of its 2016 Woman of Achievement Award. 

The annual award is given to a working woman in recognition of outstanding achievements in her career or public service. 

Mills, the Vice Chairman of the Forsyth County Commission, has served on the Board since her election in 2012. 

According to the Forsyth County website, Mills has been a member of the business community for a number of years. She served as the general manager of Lanierland Music Park for 10 years and currently is president of CMC Trucking Company, a local agricultural transportation agency. She also is a real estate agent with Bryan Properties.

Mills received the Woman of Achievement Award on June 4 in Macon, Georgia.
