Drug agents arrest Gainesville man for growing marijuana

A Hall County man is in jail after local drug agents say they found marijuana growing at his residence on Cleveland Highway north of Gainesville.
 
Hall County Sheriff's Sgt. Don Scalia said in an email statement that agents with the Hall County Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad and the Georgia National Guard Counter Drug Task Force /Aviation conducted the investigation and arrested 63-year-old Philip Adams.
 
They said they found five marijuana plants - valued on the street at $10,000- along with some loose marijuana and eight firearms at the house.
 
Adams was arrested Friday, June 17 and charged with manufacture and possession of marijuana.
