A Dahlonega man accused of stealing a pick-up truck from a Hall County auto dealership last fall has been arrested on theft by taking charges.
Joe Lee Rogers, 39, is accused of taking the truck from High Performance Auto Brokers on Atlanta Highway on a test drive on September 5, 2016. When he returned the vehicle, he turned over a fake key and kept the real one, according to Hall County Sheriff's Lt. Scott Ware. Later that same night, Rogers apparently came back and stole the truck.
"Investigators obtained a warrant for his arrest back in October of 2016 and he was arrested January 23," said Ware.
Ware said the stolen vehicle - a 2006 Toyota Tacoma - was recovered in Carrollton.
