As the Hall County Library System plans for renovation of the main branch in Gainesville, officials have set two dates for meetings to get community input on the project.
The first session will be held Monday, Nov. 13 at 5 p.m. and the second will be Wednesday, Dec. 6 at 10:30 a.m. Both meetings will be held at the Gainesville Library located at 127 Main St. just off the downtown square.
Library Director Lisa MacKinney said any interested citizens are invited to attend.
"Ideally, we would have anything [added to the main branch] anyone could possibly want, but of course, there are budget constraints," MacKinney said. "We really want to get a sense of community priorities - what are the things that are most important to the community if we do have to pick and choose."
The renovation of the main branch will be funded by SPLOST funds. MacKinney said library officials also hope to get some state grant money to fund the project.
Those who are unable to attend the community information meeting are welcome to call the library with input at 770-532-3311 or email MacKinney at [email protected].
