Green Street in Gainesville will be closed beginning at 2:30 Sunday for Christmas on Green Street.
Gainesville Police spokesman Kevin Holbrook said in an email Friday "We plan on closing Green Street at around 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The closures will be (from) E.E. Butler and Jesse Jewell (parkways) north to Thompson Bridge Road at Enota. All the side streets will be closed at Green Street."
Holbrook added that officers will be on hand to help to assist with detours.
Christmas on Green Street begins at 4:30 and ends at 7:00, and will include a parade, carolers, and more.
